Youth 4 Landcare

This project is about increasing young people’s participation in landcare reserves on Tamborine Mountain, QLD, Australia. Landcare reserves on Tamborine Mountain are interwoven throughout communities yet children and young people’s awareness of and participation in these sites is largely unknown. This project is not only focussed on increasing awareness, but  directly works with young people in positioning these sites as everyday ecological learning spaces in their local neighbourhoods. This project is highly significant because of national and international research reporting rapid declines in young people’s participation in natural environments.
